ATD - Licensing Models

ATD V5.0 is designed to support Standalone, Workgroup and Enterprise licensing models. While Standalone runs on a single computer, Workgroup will be used collaboratively with up to 10 users and Enterprise will handle any number of users.

Also, both Workgroup and Enterprise will benefit from a multiprocessing architecture to handle information sharing and data volumes.

Enterprise licensing model also supports an Advanced Test Case Generation feature that can take advantage of multi-server processing to dispatch the compilation to agents on other computers. With this feature an organization can use computers with free memory and CPU to process larger amounts of requirements in less time. ATD V5.0 is based on client-server architecture.

In the Standalone model, both client and server components run on the same computer using MS Windows and MS Access as a central repository.

In the Workgroup model, clients and server run in separate computers with MS Windows. ATD Server can use MS Access and SQLServer as the database repository.

In the Enterprise model, clients, agents and server run on separate computers using MS Windows. ATD Server can use MS Access and SQLServer as the database repository.

The ATD Clients, Agents and Server are available for x86 platforms only.
